Introduction

Background

As we know that Nepal is multi lingual, multi religious, multi-cultural country and geographically remote with plenty resource of water, land, forest and various medicinal herbs. These resources can be utilized only through the education. With this fact, the government has paid more attention to establish Technical and Vocational Schools to mobilize natural resources and build up to human capacity. As our country declared as Federal Republic country, the politicians, educated personalities and social workers of Rolpa district began to play vital role to set up Technical and Vocational school in this district. One of them is Mr. Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Ex Deputy  Prime-Minister of Nepal has played the greatest role to establish Technical School in Liwang of Rolpa district donated his 30 Ropani Land. Moreover he has played important role to allocate budget for physical infrastructure as the guardian to promote model school .The other personalities who donated lands are Mrs. Sova kumara Kanwar, Mr. Lal Bahadur Kanwar, Mr. Mul Bahadur Roka and Mr. Motilal Dangi. The College is really thankful for them. The college has it’s own aim to overcome the poverty and unemployment problem through rapid promotion of Technical and Vocational Education.

Rolpa Polytechnic Institute (RPI) has been developed by CTEVT at Rolpa municipality-1, Mewang in Rolpa District and established in 2071 B.S. (2014 AD).This school is located 20 minute away from the district headquarter of Rolpa district. It lies between Rukum in north near the home stay Gurung village and Lahari Khola, Pyuthan and baglung in east near the Dharapani village, Salyan in west near district headquarter ‘Liwang Bazar’, Dang in south near concrete motor able road and community forest. Rolpa municipality and peripheral spectacular views can be observed from the school site currently courses like Diploma in Agriculture (Animal science, Plant Science) and Diploma in Information Technology  are available. In near future (Diploma,TSLC and Training level), courses of forestry, construction, tourism, computer, health, engineering can be made available.

Developing Infrastructure and Physical Facilities.

1: Construct 4 Stored Academic Block of at least 18 rooms.
2: Construct Guest house and Administrative Block.

7: Plantation works of Hundred numbers of Plants around the Academic Block.

Developing Human Resources.

1: Recruit at least 30 Nos of Competent instructor/Trainer
2: Provide 30 Weeks instructional/ occupational trainings for Trainer in Co-ordination with TITI.
3: Provide TEVT management skill training to the program staff of RPI.
4: Recommend for abroad Training for two instructor per year.
5: Organize Exposure visits for 5 instructional staff per year within country either in institution, organization or industry.
6: Recommend for study Leave to instructional staff in every 3 year in Rotation.
7: Provide Library and internet Facility to the instructional and Admin staff Freely.
